William (Will) Phifer received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He studies artists he admires to train his aesthetic sensibilities, leading him to experiment and make informed decisions in his work.

Whether simply documenting his everyday surroundings or responding to challenging prompts, Will’s art is often recognizable by his creative concepts, emphasis on realistic tonality, and simplification of form. In all of his work, he seeks to create depth by exaggerating atmospheric perspective and strategically organizing values. 

Will is highly motivated to pursue artistic growth. He uses the principles of composition and color he’s learned from studying successful illustrators to push his concepts to the next level, improving with every project and always finding new ways to interpret the world around him.
